This book is such a fresh-voiced fantasy, laced with sci-fi elements and bursting with so much vibrance. It feels at once new and never-before-heard, yet ringed with a beautiful ancientness. It really has it all, a perfectly-balanced plot merging rich political intrigue, haunting revolution and revenge, and a searing queer enemies-to-lovers romance to top it all off. It’s a world that stays with you. Truly, my one criticism of this book is that cliffhanger ending!!! You’ll need the second book IMMEDIATELY on-hand as soon as you finish the first!
